18 and under Softball State Champs

District 1 - 18 and under girls won the Big League State Championship this past Saturday. The games were played at Va.
Beach. We beat District 8 ( Va. Beach ) 9-0 and 1-0 to win the best 2 out of 3 format. These were the only 2 teams in the tournament. Very hard to get teams together for this age group.
They will now play the regional in Dunedin Florida starting
August 3rd. Scheduled to play the TN. State Champion at 4 pm and then play the West VA. State Champion at 7 pm.
Girls from Gate City on this team are Chelsea Osborne, Brittany
Rogers, Haley and Heather Odle. From John Battle, Nakita Belcher.
The rest of the girls are from VA. High including Cassie Champbell. This is a very good team
